And I'm it! Thanks Kaydi!

Okay, six little known facts about me...let's see...

1. Most importantly, I HATE odd numbers! Don't know why or when it started. The night Cameron and I decided to get married we got the calendar out to pick a date and he kept pointing out odd number days and I'd shoot him down. He finally caught on that it was only the odd number days I was saying no to and asked why...boy, I bet he regrets that! I have no real reason why I don't like them, I just don't! Needless to say, we were married on July 6th! And my wonderful baby girl played along with my weird issue and was born Sep. 28th at 8:48am! Whew!!

2. When I was a kid, I NEVER smiled in pictures, whether it was a family picture, individual, or candid shot, no smiles! I was a GREAT pouter! I remember my mom would actually dress me all up and lie to me to get me to the portrait studio, where I would sit and pout, if not cry while posed very cute and holding a flower or some other prop! My poor mom!

3. If you really know me, you already know this next one: nailbiting. Yup, I'm a biter! Always have been and most likely always will be. I actually quit for a little bit before our wedding so I could have my own real nails on my wedding day, but I quickly resumed the habit shortly thereafter. I actually do it without thinking now. I've made many attempts to quit, but to no avail. Do they have a Nailbiters Anonymous anywhere?

4. I love to skateboard. We lived in Phoenix when I was in third and fourth grade and all the neighbor kids got my brother and I into skateboarding. We'd jump off ramps and everything. The funniest thing was playing hide and go seek on our boards. After I got married, I talked Cam into letting me buy a skateboard (I secretly think he didn't believe I knew how to skate), and skated to work most days. It has been retired for a while, but hopefully little Haylee will be a skater girl--I'd love that!

5. As a child I could have lived on pickles alone. When we lived in Winslow, my aunt made them. I think that's where the addiction began. Then in Flagstaff, my other aunt would buy them in the huge jars, the little chips you put on hamburgers and I'd get a fork and go to town on that jar! I remember she actually gave me a jar of pickles for my birthday--and I loved it! Ironically, during my pregnancy, I ate very few pickles. and now don't really crave them at all. Weird.

6. Hope this isn't too much info for anyone, but I know most women dread the "woman doctor" appointments. Not me. Don't get me wrong, I don't love them or look forward to them, but they really don't phase me at all. To me, it's just like goin' to the regular doctor. After goin' through all the fertility treatment I have, nothing on me is really private anymore. I have lost all pride!

Hope you have enjoyed this little "Tour O Bethany"! I now tag Becky, Camille, April, and Selia.

Merry Christmas...BLING BLING!!!

So on the 15th, Cameron, Haylee and I were at the mall and we got to thinkin, "Hmm, I wonder how much it costs to pierce a baby's ears?" We went to Claires and decided Haylee deserved her first bling! We chose little baby diamonds (breathe! They were fake!) and Cameron had the job of pinning her arms down! I got to be the hero and save her--of course.:) She cried while it happened and fell asleep right afterwards. We think she looks absolutely adorable with them!
These are some other shots of her Christmas dress that her Grandma Marsha has had in her closet for, I don't know how long! When I found out I was pregnant and she put it together that my baby would be 3 months old at Christmastime, she told me I HAD to have a girl so she could wear the dress (it's sized 3 months). Just after the ultrasound confirming it was a girl, I called my mom and told her to send the dress! Doesn't she look cute???
We call these her "Dr. Evil Hands". She is always playing with them...plotting something...:)

The Gang

This is one of the many Christmas/White Elephant parties we went to this year! Becky, Ashley, Annie and I all used to work at Gilbert Family Eyecare together back when Becky, Ashley and I were just wives (not moms yet) and Annie wasn't even hitched! Now look at all those boys and babies!:) Such a fun group! We had a great time and we have started a monthly dinner get-together! We feel so lucky to have such great friends.:)

What A Big Girl!!!

These are a couple of Haylee's new tricks! She can sit in her Bumbo seat...sorta...at least for a couple minutes before she starts tipping over!
My favorite part of this picture is how she's hangin' on for dear life...even though the swing probably was not in motion! She's so dang cute! And yes, she does love her daddy.:)

Merry Christmas!!!

These are last minute pics we took this morning of our little family. After Christmas we'll go have professional pics taken, but for now, this will hafta do! By the way, for those of you who really know Buster, yes, he is staring at his laser on the floor! Haylee is definitely our favorite Christmas gift this year! She looks like she'd fit in the stockings, too! Love that little girl!

It's Christmas Time!!!

So I add posts to our blog quite often--that means one of two things: either we are so fun and active that I just hafta post EVERYTHING we do, or, I have no life and think that everything we do is exciting and worth posting. Who knows??? Any opinions on that one??? Well, last night we went to see the lights at the Mesa Temple with our friends. It was a bit chilly, but not cold enough to make it miserable--PERFECT!! I wore Haylee in the Snugli and remembered what I hated about being pregnant--carrying a bowling ball on the front of you! Not too sure why I didn't take Cam's offer to carry her...She did look very cute in her hat, hoodie, and mittens!:) Grandma, I use that blanket you gave her ALL THE TIME!!! Thank you! The group picture is our "Sunday Night Crew", thanks to Cara, for always planning that for the rest of us!

Gotta Love Football!!!

Last night we went to the ASU vs U of A football game to cheer on our friend, Spencer Larsen. Here's how the evening went: no parking close by--we walked FOREVER (it felt like 15miles!) after we parked where we could find a spot! I actually have a blister on my toe from the walk! Freezing weather: I had to keep standing up to make sure I didn't freeze to my seat! Where was the hot cocoa??? Annoying ASU fans: sorry if I offend anyone here (especially you, Tawni!), but man, I think ASU has the most obnoxious fans! We had the pleasure of sitting next to the most annoying one of all. He kept saying the same, very immature and ridiculously dumb taunts throughout the game. But through all of this hardship, we had a great time! Spencer had a wonderful game and was so fun to watch. After the game, we met up with him and Annie, his wife who I met while working at Gilbert Family Eyecare, and got a picture with them and our friends, Rick and Becky (Becky, Annie and I all worked together at Gilbert Family Eyecare). I love going to watch football games in person--soooo much fun! Cameron and I were saying how we hope Haylee dates a football player so we have someone to cheer for!

Our dream come true...

Last night as I was rocking little Haylee to sleep, I just sat and stared at her perfect little face and thought about how grateful I am to finally have her with me. Most of you know that Cameron and I tried for four long, grueling years to have a baby, and to have her here with us now is an amazing blessing. I sat and told her how special she is and how long I waited for her and dreamed of being a mom. I can't explain how grateful I am for this little angel...

Hmm...Future Model Perhaps???

We got these cute pics of Haylee with Daddy this morning! She posed herself with her little hand under her chin (the classic portrait pose!!!) and just melted our hearts! We believe she is practicing her model poses. And here I was sooo worried I'd have an ugly kid! Lucky me!

Friends and Family!

While we were up north for the Thanksgiving weekend, we made some visits to relatives and spent time with good friends, too. This is Haylee with her great grandma Sam. Poor Haylee was fed up with traveling and sporatic napping, hence the fussy face in this pic! I love that I got a picture with these two...:)
This is my aunt and uncle, Rozella and Leo who live in Winslow. I love these two! Rozella has made some really cute blankets and a beautiful quilt for Haylee that I know will be a keepsake for her. She is an amazing quilter! And my uncle Leo is the best! He's funny, sweet and just the good kinda guy who will do anything for anyone. Gotta love him!
Brennon, you had to know this pic was goin' on the blog! We went out to a chinese restaurant on Saturday night with Brennon, Danica, Kathy, Sean, Penny, Kendall, April and Tyce. At chinese restaurants you always have that issue of whether or not everyone is gonna share their dish with the group or just get their own thing. Brennon, we learned, is NOT a "sharer" (can't blame you, Brennon, I'm usually not either!). But on this occasion, he opened up to the rest of us and shared his beef and broccoli! What a guy!:)

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

This year we did a little Thanksgiving dinner at Kendall and April's house with Cameron's parents, Kendall and April and Tyce! It was sooo nice and relaxing and enjoyable. Sometimes smaller is better, ya know?? I love that Haylee can wear her little Vans--even if they are way too big for her! They still look cute! And no, I didn't buy this bib for her--that was a gift from her Aunt April, but she better be thankful for her mommy!!:)
Here is cousin Tyce waiting for his food! He can be doing ANYTHING and will stop and smile anytime a camera is put in front of him! I had to laugh that his mom was bummed that his Thanksgiving bib got food on it---hello! He's 7 months old!! Love you April!:) Thank you for the bibs!
Here are the cousins at their very first Thanksgiving ever! It's so fun having them so close in age. Tyce adores Haylee and loves to kiss her head! It's sooo cute and sweet! He gets super excited whenever she comes around!

Show Low beats Blue Ridge!!!

Friday night Cameron and I took Haylee to the Show Low-Blue Ridge football game at MCC and witnessed a miracle--Show Low beat Blue Ridge! It was such a good game and we had a lot of fun with friends who were there too. Haylee did sooo good and slept a lot of the time. We thought the noise might bother her, but it didn't at all. I think she was more curious than anything! She loved looking around at everyone! I mentioned in an earlier post that Haylee WILL like football...we're just makin' sure that happens--starting her young!

Does It Get Any Cuter???

Haylee made my day today! As I was putting her in her carseat (which she usually hates) to go run errands, she smiled at me and even giggled a little!!! Oh man--it melted my heart right there! I was so mad that my phone was already in the car so I couldn't get a picture of it. But then later this afternoon as I was changing her diaper, she did it again! I grabbed my phone so fast, thinkin' surely I'd missed it, but I didn't! I was able to capture her in all her cuteness! This will forever be a favorite picture of her for me! Love my little girl...:)

Work In Progress...Me!!!

Okay, I have my 6 week post-baby checkup today (yes, Cameron is very excited!). That means I get clearance to exercise again and to start the journey of losing all this excess weight that I found during my pregnancy! I would put a "before" picture up, but all the pics on our blog are the "before" pics! I am very motivated to get skinny and to start eating better. I have lots of help from my hubby, who has offered to cook or watch Haylee while I cook, and who is also motivated to eat healthy. I've never minded cooking--I actually feel very accomplished when I'm done and I never eat as much when I cook it. Does anyone else do that? It's like, by the time you're done cooking, you're not hungry anymore! Anyway, I am very excited for this new venture! Please help me stay motivated if you're out with me!!!:) I'll need all the help I can get!

Smile!!!

The other day I was holding Haylee on my legs while she slept and was able to capture these adorable shots of her smiling! Thank goodness for cameras on cell phones! She smiles all the time in her sleep and is just now learning to smile when she's awake! People say babies smile in their sleep cuz of gas--I don't fully believe that. Yes, Haylee does smile when she lets a good one rip (which she is very good at--she's the gassiest baby we know!), but she smiles constantly when she's not tooting! Who knows...any thoughts???

Haylee's Blessing Day!!!

Our little family on Haylee's blessing day! Thank you, Mom, for the adorable blessing dress--she looked absolutely beautiful.:) Doesn't Cameron look so handsome--I'm such a lucky woman!
Sean and Penny (Cameron's parents) with our little one...
Grandma and Grandpa Orvin (my mom's parents) came from St. George for Haylee's blessing. I felt so lucky to have them there.:) Haylee is their twenty-first great grandchild!
These sweet girls are two of my young women that I love! They made that cute white quilt for Haylee! I saved it special for Haylee's blessing day.:) They are such great girls! If Haylee acts HALF as good as these two, Cameron and I will be lucky parents!

More blessing pictures!!!

Mom and little Haylee--love this beautiful girlie.:)
Another good shot of the beautiful blessing dress.
These are our good friends Jared and Bethanie (Cam's mission companion) and Jared's cousin Kenny and his wife Jessica. We have great friends!
Cameron's family after the blessing--we are so loved! At least Haylee is!:)
Love the look on her face in this one!

Rub-a-dub-dub!!!

Haylee LOVES bathtime! She gets sooo relaxed and starts tooting! If Cameron had been ready with the camera just two seconds earlier, he could've got a shot of the bubbles she creates in the water!
Obviously she is not a fan of the end of bathtime! She's got some strong lungs!
How could you not love that little face??? Our sweet little girl cuddling up to Mommy after bathtime!

First Sunday!!!

Yesterday Haylee turned one month old! She also went to church for the first time! It was so fun to put her in a little dress and a cute headband--very girlie! She's usually in a little onesie! She did so good and slept through all three hours of church! Cameron was a very proud daddy-- I think I held her all of ten minutes--he had her the rest of the time! So sweet!

More Pics Of Our LIttle Girl!!

This is Haylee's little Halloween outfit--it's not uncommon that everything she wears is baggy--but this outfit totally drowns her! Still so cute though!
I love this pic cuz I have one of me as a baby in the exact same pose. Like mother, like daughter! We are so lucky--she already sleeps 6-7 hours a night! We have a nighttime routine of bathtime, eating and swaddling up tight and she is out cold! We are sooooo blessed! Knock on wood!
Another one of those adorable goofy faces! We find ourselves just sitting around staring at our little girl all the time! Cheap entertainment, right???

Our Little Girl!!!

We finally have a moment to add some more pics of our little Haylee! This is one of my favorite pics--no, not just because of the onesie!!! But how true is the onesie??
Gotta love the goofy faces! You know you're in love when she can pull this face and you still think it's adorable!
Haylee blends right in with Cameron's relaxed lifestyle! Already football watching buddies! And yes, our daughter WILL like football!
The big brother checkin' in on his little sis! Buster really isn't sure what to think of Haylee. He's a bit jealous, but I think just mostly confused...
We are sure Haylee will be a thumb-sucker...when she figures out how exactly to do it! She sure tries hard though and we think it's so cute!
